Residential project

A small granny flat.
A cleared space.

Our client needed a small granny flat removed from beside the main house. We dismantled the building, removed the concrete and debris, and left the area clean.

Cleared granny flat footprint between green and cream boundary fences beside the remaining house
After demolition: the space where the granny flat stood.

A separate structure beside the house.

We worked in a narrow space between the boundary fences and the main house. We stripped back the roof and wall coverings before taking down the exposed timber frame.

Removing the structure and concrete.

Once the building was down, we broke up and removed the concrete beneath and around it. Our crew worked with the excavator to clear the remaining demolition material.

The space afterwards.

We left the main house and surrounding fences in place, with the former granny flat footprint cleared and the adjoining concrete area cleaned up.

Planning a similar project

For a granny flat, garage or shed removal beside an occupied home, ask whether existing asbestos reports cover that separate structure. Identify the roof and wall coverings, the frame and the concrete as distinct parts of your proposed removal.

If material is suspected to contain asbestos, leave it undisturbed while assessment is arranged. Share the side-access route and tell us who will remain in the main home so any asbestos work can be planned before the structure and slab are removed.
