Excavator on cleared ground

Clear the way for the next use

We mark out the area to clear and the trees, fences and other features that will remain. Your quote sets out the removals, preparation work and finished ground condition, including any separate levelling or specialist requirements.

What we can include

  • Shrub and stump removal within the agreed boundaries
  • Debris removal and Positrack work for site preparation
  • Pools, driveways and related removals coordinated as part of the wider job
How we coordinate the work

Defining the clearing work

  • Area and retained features

Describe the approximate area and boundaries, with photos or a marked plan if available. Identify trees, fences, nearby structures and other features that must remain, plus any known restrictions or approval conditions.

  • Material and access

Tell us about access and ground conditions, including anything that could restrict machinery or material removal.

  • Use and finished condition

Explain what the land will be used for next and agree on the handover condition. Clearing does not automatically include earthworks, excavation or construction-ready levels; confirm these separately in the scope.

    House demolition before site clearing

Keep suspected asbestos out of ordinary clearing

Tell us about suspected asbestos sheets, fragments or buried building waste before vegetation, debris or ground work is priced. Do not move the material to tidy the site or improve access for an inspection. Its assessment may require a separate specialist scope.

  1. Locate the concern on a plan

Use existing information to identify the area and provide any material or contamination reports already available.

  2. Separate the removal streams

Distinguish shrubs, stumps and ordinary demolition debris from suspected asbestos and other material needing assessment.

  3. Agree the ground-work boundary

Confirm which areas can be cleared, any specialist handover and whether excavation or soil work is included.

Common questions

All demolition FAQs
What is the difference between clearing and site preparation?

Clearing describes the removal or management of material within an agreed area. Site preparation depends on what is needed next. Define the intended result in your enquiry and confirm which activities are included in the quote.

What if the site has fire damage or contamination?

Tell us about the affected areas and any existing reports before agreeing the clearing scope. Fire-damaged or contaminated areas may need a separate removal or remediation scope with specialist input.

Can you help with biohazard clean-up as well as site clearing?

We consider biohazard clean-up, including crime scenes, depending on the substance, site conditions and work required. Tell us what is known about the contamination so we can assess the job and confirm the scope, suitable people, equipment and any specialist requirements before accepting the work. We can also discuss subsequent demolition or flooring work.

What should I mention about the site?

Start with the location, area, access and what should remain. Include any known restrictions, approval conditions or site reports that could affect the proposed clearing.
